The Managed Care Errors and Omissions Liability Plus+sm Policy and the Managed Care Organization Errors and Omission Liability Excess policy are underwritten by CIS on behalf of Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Company, a subsidiary company of Travelers. Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Company is a U.S. based surplus lines insurer, operating in all states except Connecticut. Business placed with Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Company must be placed in accordance with applicable state and federal law. Surplus lines insurers generally do not participate in State Guaranty Funds and thus insureds are not protected by such funds.

This policy provides coverage for defense costs and damages (awards and settlements, including punitive damages, where insurable) arising out of allegations of errors or omissions in the performance of Managed Care Activities of the Insured Organization and Insured Persons. In addition, the policy provides coverage for direct and vicarious liability for maintaining the confidentiality of information regarding Medical Services and limiting the release or use of such information in conformance with requirements of law. Coverage also includes vicarious liability for the performance of, or failure to perform a Managed Care Activity, the rendering of or failure to render Medical services and any actual or alleged Sexual Activity.
