MANAGED CARE E&O (admitted)

The Wrap+ Managed Care Errors and Omissions Liability policy has been approved in most states on an admitted basis as of December 2011.  Chatham Insurance Services underwrites this coverage along with the other coverages available on the Wrap+ policy on behalf of Travelers.  The policies are written in Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America, a subsidiary company of Travelers. 

The Wrap+ Managed Care Errors and Omissions Liability policy utilitizes Travelers new enhanced modular design, with the Managed Care E&O coverage module using the same common policy terms and conditions and some of the same endorsements as the other coverage modules available in the Wrap+.  This coverage will be written as a standalone alone policy and will not be available for combination into another Wrap+ policy at this time.  Coverage is available on either a Duty to Defend or on a Reimbursement basis.   

Wrap+ Managed Care Errors and Omissions Liability policy provides coverage for defense costs and damages (awards and settlements, including punitive damages, where insurable) arising out of allegations of errors or omissions in the performance of Managed Care Activities of the Insured Organization and Insured Persons.  In addition, the policy provides coverage for direct and vicarious liability for maintaining the confidentiality of information regarding Medical Services and limiting the release or use of such information in conformance with requirements of law.  Coverage also includes vicarious liability for the performance of, or failure to perform a Managed Care Activity, the rendering of or failure to render Medical services and any actual or alleged Sexual Activity.
