Excess Liability or Excess Crime Policy
Placing your excess liability or excess crime policy with an experienced, stable and financially secure insurance carrier like Travelers is one of the more important decisions that a broker or client can make when purchasing large limits of insurance for their Managed Care E&O, D&O, EPL, Fiduciary or Crime insurance programs. Excess programs should not be viewed as a commodity where price is all that counts. At CIS we understand that while price is important, serious consideration should also be given to the financial strength of the carrier, their reputation for handling excess claims and how well the excess insurance terms and conditions follow the underlying policy. We believe that the placement of excess limits is just as important as the primary limits. We have the experience necessary to put together multiple excess layers over Managed Care E&O, D&O, EPL, Fiduciary and Crime programs at a variety of attachment points. We only utilize carriers rated "A" or better by A.M. Best and utilize our program with Travelers (rated "A+" by A.M. Best) as our lead product.
CIS is pleased to provide the Travelers Excess Liability policy and the excess Crime Policy, both of which provide an insured with the ability to place excess coverage over their primary insurance policy. These policies can be written as a follow form to the primary policy or to the policy just underlying of our attachment point. Effective 10-15-10, these two excess policies will replace all of the previous individual product excess policies written over the Managed Care E&O, D&O, EPL, Fiduciary and Crime product lines.
