The Broad Form PLUS+ Directors and Officers Liability Policy from Travelers Bond and Financial Products offers comprehensive personal asset protection for directors and officers when primary coverage and/or indemnification can't or won't respond.  This includes coverage in situations where the corporation is required to indemnify, but cannot due to corporate insolvency or merger-related conflicts.  Specially designed to meet the current needs of directors and officers, Broad Form PLUS+ provides coverage for non-indemnified claims ("A-side") against the directors and officers and includes Difference in Conditions (DIC) drop down features not found in most other policies.  The policy is a reimbursement form that drops down to fill key coverage gaps resulting from exclusions commonly found in primary D&O policies.  The Broad Form PLUS+ has a flexible policy format that enables you to elect coverage for all of the directors and officers of a corporation or for an individual director or officer for their service with one or more companies (personal D&O umbrella policy).

The coverage provided by this policy is broader thatn the coverage provided by traditional follow form excess A-side policies since it can respond as either an A-Side excess policy or as a primary policy that drops down to fill gaps that result from exclusions in the primary D&O policy.  Since it has the ability to drop down to primary, it is more expensive that traditional follow form excess A-side policies, but can be worth the additional premium for the protection it provides to the directors and officers of a corporation.
